The thrust for establishing plastic hub in the area is because of the existing petrochemical plant of GAIL, which produces high-density as well as low-density polyethylene. Popularly called HDPE and LDPE, these are the raw material required for manufacturing wide range of plastic products, from pipes, toys, buckets, plastic sacks to products required for industrial as well as domestic use.
