Reiterating that Uttar Pradesh government is committed to bring back all the labourers/workers in safe and dignified manner, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to send letters to concerning State Governments to furnish list of labourers/workers wanting to return. He said that his government has already made free travel arrangements of labourers/workers by train or bus for their secured and respectable return.
The Chief Minister while reviewing Lockdown arrangements at a highlevel meeting in Lok Bhawan here on Tuesday, he asserted that all the labourers/workers should be screened properly and sent to quarantine centre or home quarantine as required. He directed to make available food packets to all the needy persons including labourers/workers. The labourers/workers being sent to home quarantine should be provided ration kit and Rs. one thousand each as sustenance allowance during home quarantine. He also asked to make new ration cards for the labourers/workers for regular supply of food grain and directed to make prior arrangements for food grain distribution drive to be commenced on June one, 2020.
He said while the State Government is committed to provide employment to labourers/workers, they should be kept in regular touch through CM helpline. He said the skill mapping work of the labourers/workers is in the process and directed to compile all their data in next 15 days. He urged to ramp up industrial activities in the states and called upon to conduct a survey of all the industries including MSME sector to employ the labourers/workers suitable to their respective skills. He also directed to make serious efforts to activate all milk Samitis.
The Chief Minister said the morning walkers should be allowed in the parks on the fixed time slots. In order to ensure social distancing and security, the regular patrolling should be done in the parks while the patrolling of important places including financial and industrial institutions should be stepped up. He also directed to allow the services of taxi at airports with one driver and two passengers. The CM said the home delivery system should be made effective in the containment zone.
He directed to keep Covid hospitals in functional mode all the time. He said all the preventive gears including PPE kits, N-95 masks, gloves and sanitiser should be made available in these hospitals. Stressing upon to prevent infection in police force and jails, he further directed to continue the training of medical staff for prevention of medical infection.
The Chief Minister instructed to raise capacity of beds in L-1, L-2 and L3 Covid hospitals to one lakh by the end of this month. He also asked to ramp up testing facilities and test as many persons as possible. He asked to expedite the setting up at least one lab in every district. He also asked to resume emergency services and necessary surgeries in Non-covid hospitals with all precautionary measures. He issued fresh directives to well equip big medical institutions of the state like SGPGI, KGMU and RML Institute of Medical Sciences. He also directed the officials to make adequate arrangements of drinking water in view of summer season. He said the effective system should be in place in Bundelkhand region. He also asked to arrange water tankers at prominent places in urban areas as well.
