Haryana School Reopening: Schools to remain closed for now, summer vacation extended till June 15
Haryana schools will not open from June 1, 2021 due to the prevailing COVID 19 situation in the state. The state has decided to extend the summer vacation till June 15, 2021. As per the local daily, the government has informed the Education Department regarding the current status of Haryana School reopening.
Earlier, the Directorate of Education has sent orders to district education offices to send School wise data of students and infrastructure. Among the directions issued, schools have been instructed to ensure that only one student is allowed to sit on a bench. However, there is no official announcement on this.
The state Education Minister of Haryana Kanwar Pal, earlier on May 23, 2021, announced that the Haryana Board of Secondary Education, HBSE is likely to conduct the 12th board examination from June 15 2021. But the state is yet to take any decision on Haryana School reopening.
The State Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar informed today that more than 2000 COVID 19 cases are coming in the state every day. The infection has subsided, but the condition has not returned to normal. Therefore, the state has decided to extend the summer vacation for schools till June 15, 2021.
Haryana reported 2287 COVID positive cases in the last 24 hours. The number of deaths in the state has come down, but more than 100 patients are dying every day. The number of active cases remains 26874. By looking at the current scenario, the state has decided not to open schools for now. However, the decision on Haryana School Reopening is likely to be taken by the state government soon.
