Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inaugurates ‘Addhyan’ – the modernised central library of the State Planning Commission

मुख्यमंत्री श्री अखिलेश यादव ने राज्य योजना आयोग के नवीनीकृत केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय ‘अध्ययन’ का लोकार्पण किया

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री श्री अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि दुर्लभ साहित्य एवं पुस्तकें भावी पीढ़ी के लिए अनमोल धरोहर होती हैं। किसी भी समाज की प्रगति में शिक्षा का महत्वपूर्ण स्थान होता है। पुस्तकालयों का महत्व आज के दौर में अत्यधिक प्रासंगिक है। विकसित राष्ट्रों की कैटेगरी में पहुंचने वाले सभी देशों ने अपनी शिक्षा व्यवस्था को लगातार अपडेट करते हुए रिसर्च ओरिएण्टेड बनाने का प्रयास किया।

मुख्यमंत्री आज यहां योजना भवन में राज्य योजना आयोग के नवीनीकृत केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय ‘अध्ययन’ के लोकार्पण अवसर पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम को सम्बोधित कर रहे थे। उन्होंने उम्मीद जतायी कि नियोजन सम्बन्धी सभी जरूरी पुस्तकों एवं दस्तावेजों की उपलब्धता से यह पुस्तकालय सरकारी विभागों, संस्थाओं व रिसर्च स्काॅलर्स के लिए एक रिफरेन्स सेण्टर के तौर पर उपयोगी साबित होगा।

राज्य योजना आयोग के उपाध्यक्ष श्री नवीन चन्द्र बाजपेयी ने कहा कि इस पुस्तकालय में लगभग 50 विषयों की लगभग 20 हजार पुस्तकों एवं प्रकाशनों का कलेक्शन उपलब्ध है। पुस्तकालय में वर्ष 1931 से अब तक की भारतीय जनगणना के आंकड़ों का संग्रह भी उपलब्ध है। इसके साथ ही, पहली पंचवर्षीय योजना से 12वीं पंचवर्षीय योजना तक के प्रकाशनों का संग्रह भी उपलब्ध है। इन तमाम जानकारियों से लैस यह पुस्तकालय निश्चित रूप से प्रदेश की नीतियों को बनाने व शोधार्थियों के लिए लाभकारी होगा। इस केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय को आने वाले समय में ई-नेटवर्किंग के माध्यम से विभिन्न शोध संस्थानों/विश्वविद्यालयों से भी जोड़ा जाएगा।

इस अवसर पर राजनैतिक पेंशन मंत्री श्री राजेन्द्र चौधरी, प्रमुख सचिव नियोजन श्री मुकुल सिंघल सहित अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has said that rare literature and books were a prized treasure for generations to come. He added that educationwas an integral part of a society’s progress. Relevance of libraries, he pointedout, was more relevant today than ever and underlined the need of research oriented update of its education system to become a front ranking and developed society.

The Chief Minister was today speaking after inauguration of ‘Addhyan’-the modernised central library of the State Planning Commission at the Yojna Bhawan. He expressed hope that all books and documents related to planning available here would prove to be a rich and useful resourceto various government departments, institutions and research scholars for reference purposes.

Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Commission Mr. Naveen Chandra Bajpayi informed that over 20,000 books and publications on 50 subjects were available at this library and that a compendium of census statistics from 1931 was also at the library. With this, there are also all publications from the first five year plan to the 12th five year plan.

In times to come, this central library would also be linked through ‘e-networking’ to various research institutes/varsities. Also present were Political Pensions Minister Mr. Rajendra Chowdhary, Principal Secretary (Planning) Mr. Mukul Singhal and other senior officials.
