Chief Minister commits himself to walk on the path shown by Chowdhary Charan Singh
As per the desires of Chowdhary ji, the state government was developing villages and working for the welfare of farmers
Uttar Pradesh Governor Mr. Ram Naik and Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today paid glowing tributes to late farmer leader and former Prime Minister Chowdhary Charan Singh at his anniversary by garlanding his portrait at the Vidhan Bhawan. On this occasion, the Chief Minister described the late PM as a leader of all sections of the society and committed himself to walk the path shown by him.
The Chief Minister recalled how Netaji (former Chief Minister Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav) was very fond of Chowdhary Charan Singh and added that the present state government was working for the prosperity of all sections of the society, development of the villages and progress of farmers, a cause exposed by the late leader.
Mr. Yadav also credited Chowdhary Charan Singh as the true leader and well wisher of farmers and said that he was still the tallest leader among the farmers. The Chief Minister added that the present state government was working, on the lines of the late leader, to develop the villages and progress of the farmers.
It was for this reason, he underlined, the state government had undertaken a lot of measures and welfare schemes to benefit the villages and farmers. He also stated that without prosperity in villages, the country cannot progress. Also present on the occasion were Political Pensions Minister Mr. Rajendra Chowdhary, public representatives and officials.
