Vidhan Sabha Speaker requests all party leaders to ensure smooth running of the forthcoming session of the State Assembly
Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Mata Prasad Pandey has requested all leaders of political parties to ensure that the House ran smoothly when the next session begins November 14. At an all-party meeting at the Vidhan Bhawan today, Mr. Pandey said everyone should behave in consonance with the dignity of the state assembly and urged that the time of the assembly be used for the welfare of people.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister and Leader of the House, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav said that Uttar Pradesh state assembly has had a glorious past and special dignity. Assuring of full cooperation from the treasury benches, he said everyone should be expected to use the time in the assembly to find solutions to the problems facing the people.
He also urged the legislators to create an environment wherein constructive deliberations on problems faced by people of the state take place and a positive solution is found by the state government. The meeting was attended by Mr. Swamy Prasad Maurya (BSP), Mr. Suresh Kumar Khanna (BJP), Mr. Pradeep Mathur of the Congress and Mr. Dalbeer Singh of the RLD. All leaders assured the state assembly speaker of full cooperation from legislators of their parties.
Also present on the occasion were Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. Mohammad Azam Khan, PWD Minister Mr. Shivpal Singh Yadav and Hadicap Welfare Minister Mr. Ambika Chowdhary.
