Chief Minister assures the delegation of considering help to the Sindhi Association
A delegation of the Sindhi community called on the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav and felicitated him with an ‘Angavastram’ and a picture. The delegation expressed their gratitude for the Rs. 10,000 per pilgrim subsidy for the Sindhu Darshan Yatra announced by the Chief Minister.
On the occasion, the delegation also thanked the Chief Minister for approving an old demand for setting up of the Sindhi Academy for development and progress of the Sindhi language and culture and appointing Mr. Amrit Rajpal as the Vice-President of the UP Sindhi Academy.
The delegation also requested Mr. Yadav to grant help and assistance to the Sindhi Association. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the visiting delegation for the honour bestowed on him and assured them of considering their request.
The Chief Minister said that the state government was taking decisions for welfare of all sections of the society and added the people from the Sindhi community were very hard working and had immense grasp of trade and business.
The Sindhi’s have made a significant contribution in the economic development of the country, the Chief Minister said while hoping that they would continue to actively participate and contribute in the economic development of the country in future too.
The delegation comprised of President of the Sindhi Central Association Mr. Mohan Das Ladhani, Vice-president Mr. Murli Dhar Ahuja, Treasurer Mr. Santram Chandani, Mr. Asooda Ram, Mr. Ved Prakash Rajpal, Mr. Prem Kriplani, Mr. Kailash Lakhmani, Mr. Kamal Manjhani, Mr. Om Prakash Omi and Mr. Amrit Rajpal.
