Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav Saturday said that progress in the industrial sector will automatically usher in prosperity in the state. Assuring the entrepreneurs that the state government will undertake all steps to address and solve problems faced by them, Mr. Yadav said that the state was working seriously in the field of industrial development and had succeeded in creating conducive environment for investment in Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the UP Udyami Mahasammelan-2014 at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here today. The event had been organized by the Indian Industries Association with cooperation from the state government. Representatives from micro, small and medium scale industries were present at the event in large numbers. Referring to efforts by the state government to improve and strengthen the Udyog Bandhu system, the Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to ensure solution to problems faced by industrialists with regards to single window system, establishing industry and other practical problems faced by them.

Other than this, on issue like free-hold of industrial land, circle rate related issues will also be attended to at the level of the chief secretary. Facilities of road, power and water outlet around industrial hubs will also be taken up by creating funds, the Chief Minister stated and announced that he will try to take out time once a month to meet industrialists for which they will not have to seek prior appointment and they would be able to meet him directly. During the meetings, he pointed out; senior officers including the Chief Secretary would be present so that problems and issues raised by them are addressed then and there.
Mr. Yadav also underlined how contribution of the industry was important along with the agriculture sector in the progress of the state. Referring to technological advances, the Chief Minister pointed out how while 10-15 years back use of internet and computers in trade was unheard of while today e-commerce is the buzz word in both domestic and international trade.

Saying that UP was the most populous state in the country, the Chief Minister also stated how this made UP a big consumer base and each and every district of the state had its own signature art and craft. He also referred to a lot of work being done to improve the infrastructure in the state and mentioned construction of bypasses in Bhadohi and Bareilly. The Chief Minister also released a souvenir brought out by the IIA and visited the exhibition at the venue.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Small Industry and Export Promotion Mr. Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar said that various facilities were being provided to all types of industry and informed that the exports from the state which were earlier between 25-30,000 crore rupees had now grown to Rs. 80,000 crore under the present government. He also added that the Government of India had sanctioned 113 projects for export promotion under the ASIDE Scheme.
Chief Secretary Mr. Alok Ranjan said that a portal was being prepared for the MSME on which a lot of information like product range would be available and said that this will be a big turning point for small time industrialists to showcase and market their products. He also informed that a decision had been taken to include the single window facility under the Janhit Guarantee Adhiniyam. Principal Secretary MSME and Export promotion Mr. Mahesh Kumar Gupta informed of various projects and schemes undertaken by the state government for their benefit.
Those who also expressed their views at the function included IIA president Mr. Pramod Miglani, Senior Vice-President Mr. Manish Goel and General Secretary Mr. Neeraj Singhal. Senior officers along with industrialists from various districts were also present at the function.
