Chief Minister partakes in the ‘terhanvi’ function of Unnao legislator’s late mother
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today participated in the ‘terhanvi’ fucntion of late Mrs. Chunni Devi, mother of Mr. Kuldeep Singh Sengar, at their residence in village Mankhi, Unnao. He also paid floral tributes at a picture of the late Chunni Devi and paryed for peace to the departed soul. Extending his condolences to the bereaved family, Mr. Yadav said blessings of elders remove all obstacles.
Later, interacting with media persons the Chief Minister said the Samajwadi government was doing everything to mitigate the problems faced by the people and take the state on the path of prosperity. The state government, he added, was working for welfare of the farmers, poor, downtrodden, labour class and weaker sections of the society. Work on installation of power substations at all Tehsils was also been undertaken at a large scale, he said.
Underlining that the state government was not only fulfiling promises made in the poll manifesto but also going out to do many other things for the welfare of the state, Mr. Yadav said. He referred to the ‘108’ Samajwadi Health Service and ‘102’ National Ambulance service and free treatment to patients at all government hospitals and said that bicycles and solar lights were being provided to registered labourers and financial assistance was being given to the next of kin of labours who die in accidents.
The government, Chief Minister said, had also taken many steps to provide facilities to the trader community. Three thousand bank branches have been opened up in the state and more than two crore new accounts have been opened in the banks and work on IT City in Lucknow has begun, Mr. Yadav informed and said that direct and indirect employment will be generated in a big way due to these projects.
Also present at the occasion were PWD Minister Mr. Shivpal Singh Yadav, other ministers, public representatives and dignitaries.
