The Clean-Green campaign run by the state government will get an impetus
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has said that a campaign is being launched to reward the best government hospitals in Lucknow. Besides, the wards launching the best cleanliness drive in Lucknow, Mathura and Agra cities will also be rewarded. This decision has been taken to encourage and give impetus to the clean-green mission of the state government.
The Chief Minister said that of all the government hospitals in Lucknow including the King George’s Medical University and SGPGI, the ones keeping cleanliness and promoting greenery the most will be rewarded with Rs. 50 lakh, second slot holder will get Rs. 30 lakh and the third best will get Rs. 20 lakh reward. This prize money will be equally distributed among the sweepers, gardeners and ward boys. The prize money will be given to all category employees like permanent, temporary, outsources and on contractual basis.
Similarly, Mr. Yadav said a drive will be launched to keep wards clean in the Lucknow, Agra and Mathura cities. The best wards in Lucknow and Agra will be given prize of Rs. 50 lakh (Ist), Rs. 30 lakh to two wards each (IInd position holders) and three wards each will get a reward of Rs. 20 lakh for getting the third slot. In Mathura, one ward each will be picked up for each category after which the best ward will be given Rs. 50 lakh, IInd best ward Rs. 30 lakh and Rs. 20 lakh to the IIIrd best ward.
The prize money in Lucknow, Agra and Mathura wards will be distributed equally between sweepers. This will include sweepers under contractual basis, out sourcing, permanent and temporary categories.
