Chief Minister and former Defence Minister and MP unveil 25-feet tall statue of Janeshwar Mishra

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav and former Defence Minister and MP Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav today unveiled a 25-feet statue of late Janeshwar Mishra at the Janeshwar Mishra park. On this occasion, they recalled the great and illustrious service of the late leader, also known as ‘Chote Lohia’ for the downtrodden, weaker sections, youth and the common people and said that his personality was so attractive that on his call hundreds would be ever ready to do and die for the socialist ethos.

He added that there was no difference on what he said and did and pointed out how the late leader lived socialism not just as an ideology but as a lifestyle. The Chief Minister said that the statue of Janeshwar Mishra would inspire millions in the young generation to walk the socialist path and follow the path of struggle, hard work and strong will power, some things which socialist do.

Also present on the occasion were Vidhan Sabha speaker Mr. Mata Prasad Pandey, MP Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav, MP Mrs. Dimple Yadav, MP Mrs.

Jaya Bachchan, PWD Minister Mr. Shivpal Singh Singh Yadav, Urban Development Minister Mr. Mohammad Azam Khan, Political Pensions Minister Mr. Rajendra Chowdhary and other members of the state cabinet. It is pertinent to point out here that the Janeshwar Mishra Park has been established in Gomtinagar, Lucknow. The first phase of the 376 acre park has been completed and in coming days the park will find place in the best parks of the country.

Being built in the centre of thick population the park will have facilities like children’s sports arena, multi-facility zone, theme garden, jogging track, cycle track, water body and walkway which will benefit all sections of the society.
