Express gratitude on development work undertaken in Old Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today met eminent people from the Muslim community, who called to greet him on the festival of Diwali, at his official residence. Accepting their greetings, Mr. Yadav reciprocated the warm wishes. The visiting people also gifted a shawl to the chief minister. Led by health minister Mr. Ahmad Hasan, the visiting persons thanked the chief minister for the development work undertaken in Old Lucknow.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yadav said the speciality of India was its ingrained Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb under which all festivals were celebrated by harmony, love and affection by people, cutting across community lines. He underlined the need not only to preserve this culture but also take the communal harmony forward.
