
Officers asked to continuously monitor relief measures
Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, relief measures against cold weather rolled out in all districts
Till December 27, 2017, 23,657 bonfires lit across the state and 1,64,276 free blankets distributed to the needy 708 night shelters established in the state
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions to all district magistrates to ensure proper arrangements for poor, destitute and homeless in the cold weather. He also said that officers should also monitor the relief measures in a sustained manner so that the homeless and the destitute do not have problem in the inclement weather.
He also warned officers against any callousness in this regard. Informing of this, a State Government spokesman today said that in pursuance to the instructions of the Chief Minister, relief measures against cold weather have been rolled out in all districts. Under these measures, night shelters have been established, bonfires lit up and free blankets distributed to the poor and needy.
The spokesman further informed that till December 27, 2017, 23,657 bonfires lit across the state and 1,64,276 free blankets distributed to the needy and 708 night shelters established in the state.
