Providing timely help for flood affected persons, top priority for the State Government : Chief Minister
District Magistrates to ensure first calamity report in seven days and second in 15 days

Agriculture Department officials to sensitise farmers of the flood-affected areas for organic farming
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that providing timely help for flood affected persons is the top priority of the State Government. He pointed out that for this it is necessary that the assessment report be submitted to the Union Government in time.
The Chief Minister was today chairing a meeting, with officials of the Central Flood Commission who had come to assess the damage/on ground visit of flood affected districts, at the Lok Bhawan. The Chief Minister also directed district magistrates to ensure that the first calamity assessment report reached the state government within 7 days and the second one in 15 days.
Stressing on the need of prompt help and relief to flood-affected people, the Chief Minister directed the officials to submit an amended memorandum at the earliest of this year’s flood. He also directed officials of the flood affected districts to sensitise farmers to take up organic farming because farmers in such districts do not use fertilisers and pesticides. Organic farming in such areas can be very beneficial.
Present at the meeting were Joint Secretary of the Union Home Ministry Ms. Nidhi Khare, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. SP Goel, Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Mr. Nitin Ramesh Gokaran, Relief Commissioner Mr. GS Priyadarshi and other senior officials.
