Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today summoned Lucknow DM Rajshekhar and SSP Yashasvi Yadav to his residence and sought to know the progress in the Gauri case. Expressing dissatisfaction at the tragic turn of events in the case, the Chief Minister also expressed his displeasure at the police action in the case.
Cracking the whip on the SSP, Mr. Yadav directed him to immediately initiate stern action against the policeman who did not promptly respond to the call of the victim’s father on call # 100 and said it should be ensured that the police reach the crime scene immediately after receiving a call.
Asking the SSP to ensure prompt arrest of the perpetrators of such heinous crime, the Chief Minister also said that all out efforts should be made by the police to ensure that such crimes are not committed in the state capital or in any other part of the state.
