Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today paid glowing tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his death anniversary by offering flowers on the place of urn carrying his ashes. He also garlanded a statue of Dr Ambedkar. In his address at the Dr. Ambedkar Mahasabha premises, Mr. Yadav recalled the great and selfless service of Dr. BR Ambedkar throughout his life for the rights and honour of the Dalits, deprived, weaker sections and minorities of the society.
He added that as architect of the Indian constitution Dr. Ambedkar incorporated many provisions in the constitution for removal of disparity in the society and strengthened the cause of social justice. Acting on similar lines, the Chief Minister added, the state government had launched the Samajwadi Pension Scheme so as the poorest of poor are assimilated in the social mainstream.
The Chief Minister also said that everyone should resolve to walk the path shown by the great luminary and added that this would be the truest tribute to Dr. Ambedkar. Also present on the occasion were Political Pensions Minister Mr. Rajendra Chowdhary, president of the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal and other dignitaries.
