Role of administrative officials crucial in maintaining law and order, successful execution of developmental programmes : Chief Minister

Officials should be sensitive and alert towards interests of the common people
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today met IAS probationers. Addressing them he said that administrative officials were crucial in successful execution of government programmes and maintaining law and order. Adding that officials were hence duty bound to be fully aware of all duties, legal nuances and many other issues.
The officials should not only be true towards discharge of their duties but should also have abilities to take prompt decisions, he pointed out. The Chief Minister also said that in a big state like Uttar Pradesh they would be getting many opportunities and challenges during their career, Mr. Yadav urged the probationers to be free and fair in the discharge of their duties. By doing so you will earn the trust and respect of the people, the CM told the officials.
Saying that the world was changing fast and thus it was imperative on the officials to be more sensitive and alert to the problems and issues being faced by the common people. IAS probationers of the 2012 and 2013 batch met the Chief Minister at his official residence. Also present on the occasion were ministers Mr. Rajendra Chowdhary, Mr. Abhishek Mishra, MP Mrs Dimple Yadav, chief secretary Mr. Alok Ranjan, Principal Secretaries to the CM; Mr. Rakesh Bahadur and Mrs. Anita Singh, Principal Secretary (home) Mr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Director General of UP Administrative and Management Academy and other senior officials of the government.
