The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today laid the foundation stones of Medanta-Avadh super-speciality hospital in Lucknow.
In the same manner, free irrigation facility to farmers and four-lane linking of all district headquarters were also being run, he added. Mr. Yadav also mentioned the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, he said the state government with its own resources was linking the national capital to the state capital.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Naresh Trehan said during his studies at the KGMC, he had decided that he will do something concrete in the healthcare sector for Lucknow in special and UP in general. He rued that in absence of prompt and technologically advanced treatment many patients die untimely. He also lauded the UP government for the support and cooperation extended.
Adding that more than 25,000 jobs will be created when the hospital becomes functional, he added that the hospital will have 30 operation theatres, 300 critical care beds and treatment for 20 special ailments would be available here.
