Hot Mix plant to be used to repair the road
The road would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1700 crore
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has directed UPSHA to repair the Delhi-Saharanpur-Yamunotri road within a month and make it fit for traffic. The Delhi-Saharanpur-Yamunotri road is being built at a cost of Rs. 1700 crore on a PPP basis. Construction of the road/widening was being delayed as it entailed felling of trees but now under instructions of the Chief Minister, trees are being cut.
It is pertinent to point out here that large scale repair and widening of roads is being carried out on roads to ensure smooth and quality traffic infrastructure.
With this, construction of bridges, ROB’s, Expressway etc is also in full swing. Only recently, work has begun on the Agra Express-way, which on completion would considerably cut the travel time between Agra and Lucknow.
This would be the longest access controlled express-way in the country. The State Government aims at establishing a network of four lane and six lane roads in the state and ensure smooth traffic.
