Effective action at local level should be initiated to address problems
Officials ignoring people’s problems will be acted upon
MPs and MLAs also asked to work towards solving of problems faced by the people
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has directed officials to make serious efforts to solve problems faced by the people and warned that any laxity on this front will not be tolerated. He added that keeping in mind the cost of travelling to Lucknow and going back, the Janata Darshan/Janata Ka Darbar programme has been postponed and it is expected of district officials to address problems of the people at local level itself.
The Chief Minister was today meeting people who had come from various parts of the state and listening to their problems at his official residence. Mr. Yadav directed all district officials to be present at their offices on working days during the official timings and after hearing out the problems brought before them, list them and ensure time bound and adequate action on the complaints.
He also asked MPs and MLAs of the party to work towards solving the problems faced by the people. The Chief Minister also said that the government was monitoring the redressal of problems at Tehsil Diwas in districts and added that officials need to understand that when mechanisms of listening and solving problems at the district level were in place why people were coming to Lucknow.
This, Mr. Yadav, pointed out, was a pointer that district officials were not paying adequate attention to redressal of grievances and warned them that any laxity on this front will not be tolerated by the State Government and stringent action would be taken against callous officials.
