Decision taken to make available a stretch of 7.7 acre land for Kendriya Vidyalaya in Shrawasti district headquarters
State Government making efforts to provide quality education
Rs 350 crore earmarked for 100 model schools in the budget for the financial year 2015-16
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has decided to make available the ‘Dak Bangla’ of the irrigation department in Jais of district Amethi for a Kendriya Vidyalaya. He has also decided to make available a stretch of 7.7 acre land for Kendriya Vidyalaya in Shrawasti district headquarters.
Providing this information, a spokesman said that the state government was making serious efforts to provide quality education to the students and many efforts have been rolled out to ensure that quality education was within the reach of children living in far flung areas.
The state government had earlier decided to transfer, free-of-cost, land for establishing a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Naugarh tehsil of district Siddharthanagar. Model schools are being established at development block level and in the budget for the financial year of 2015-16, Rs 350 crore have been earmarked for establishing 100 model schools.
These schools will be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi where classes VI to XII will be run. The constitution and facilities of these model schools will be at par with the Kendriya Vidyalaya’s and would be models for other schools in the concerning development block.
