Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr Akhilesh Yadav will be launching the M-Sehat project of Sifsa, sponsored by the Family, Health and Family Welfare department on October 13, 2015. Primary motive of the project is to strengthen front-line workers (Asha, ANM) to minimize mother-infant mortality rate
Giving this information, a state government spokesman said under this project, the chief minister would give smart phones to Asha workers, which will equip them for better and efficient management of their services, also adding to their quality of work.
Through the smart phones, Asha and ANM workers will be able to provide healthcare services in a better way to pregnant women and infants. Other than this, health and family welfare services will also reach far-flung areas and interiors.
As a pilot project in the first phase the project will be implemented in five districts – Bareilly, Kannauj, Mirzapur, Sitapur and Faizabad. Under the project 10,000 Asha workers, two thousand ANM, 300 medical officials/in-charge medical officers and Sifsa workers would be assimilated.
