Chief Minister announces a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the person killed in Aligarh
Condemns acid attack on Russian woman in Varanasi, says such incidents bring infamy to state, country
Instructions issued for stringent action against the accused and free treatment for the injured woman
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has taken a grim view of the incidents in Aligarh and Varanasi and has directed officials to take stringent action against the guilty. While expressing sadness at the death of a person in Aligarh, he announced a financial assistance of Rs ten lakh for the family of the deceased.
He also officials of the district administration in Aligarh to take necessary action and ensure necessary treatment facilities to those injured. With regards to the incident of an acid attack on a Russian woman in Varanasi, Mr Yadav said such incidents brought a bad name to the state and the country.
Asking officials to take strict penal action against the accused, the Chief Minister said free treatment should be given to the injured lady so that she recovers soon.
