उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव नीदरलैंड्स यात्रा के लिए कल रवाना हो रहे हैं। राज्य सरकार के प्रवक्ता ने आज बताया कि अखिलेश के साथ एक उच्चस्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल भी जा रहा है। इस यात्रा का उद्देश्य नीदरलैंड्स की संस्थाओं, व्यापारिक संगठनों और कंपनियों से प्रदेश में निवेश आकर्षित करना और उनके साथ आर्थिक सहयोग बढाना है।

उन्होंने बताया कि राज्य में फूलों की खेती को बढावा देने के उद्देश्य से वह दुनिया भर में फूलों की राजधानी के नाम से विख्यात फ्लोरा हालैंड आम्समीर स्थित पुष्प नीलामी केन्द्र देखने जाएंगे। कल ही वह नीदरलैंड्स एग्रो फूड एंड टेक्नालाजी सेंटर के पदाधिकारियों के साथ बैठक करेंगे। प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि अखिलेश द हेग के मेयर जोजियाज जोहानेस वान आर्टसेन से मुलाकात करेंगे। इस भेंट का उद्देश्य नीदरलैंड्स की तर्ज पर राज्य में साइकिलिंग को बढावा देना है। नीदरलैंड्स में 57 फीसदी लोग साइकिल का उपयोग करते हैं। मुख्यमंत्री प्रवासी भारतीयों से भी मिलेंगे। प्रवक्ता के अनुसार अखिलेश द हेग स्थित इंटरनेशनल कोर्ट आफ जस्टिस जाएंगे। फिर कान्फेडरेशन आफ नीदरलैंड्स इंडस्ट्री एंड इम्प्लायर्स के अध्यक्ष हैन्स डी बोर से मिलेंगे। अखिलेश अपने नीदरलैंड्स प्रवास के दौरान वहां की अवस्थापना एवं पर्यावरण मंत्री मेलैनी शुल्ज वान हेगेन से मुलाकात करेंगे।

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will be visiting the Netherlands along with a delegation from Monday to attract overseas investment in the state.

Akhilesh would also visit the International Court of Justice at Hague followed by a meeting with Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers. Meanwhile, BJP alleged that main objective behind the visit was tourism and not attracting foreign investment.

He said during his visit, the Chief Minister would meet office-bearers of Netherlands Agro Food and Technology Centre besides mayor of Hague. He will meet the mayor with an aim to promote cycling in Uttar Pradesh on the lines of the Netherlands.

A high-level delegation led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav will leave for Netherlands on September 01, with an aim to attract investment and increase trade ties. The chief minister will reach Amsterdam on September 01. On his first day of the visit the chief minister will view the world’s biggest flower auction centre Flora Holland at Aalsmeer.

The centre is known world over as the capital of flowers. The visit to this centre, an officer said was to gather knowledge about techniques to grow flowers in UP and also to learn how they are gathered at one place, their upkeep and the subsequent marketing. UP is looking to expand its floral growth and maximize its exports. The same day, Mr. Yadav will hold a meeting with officers of the Netherlands Agro Food and Technology Centre (NAFTC) between 11:00-2:45. NAFTC is a public-private association which is expert in developing different types of food groups.

This group expertises in minimizing wastage of food products through a food value chain. Due to lack of post-harvesting technology and collection, preservation facilities a major part of the harvest is wasted in the state. In such cases, experience and expertise of this group will come in handy for the state. Netherlands is known for its advanced agro-food technology and UP is likely to benefit immensely from their knowhow. By using their techniques, while the crop loss will be curbed, their processing would also be highly improved. This will also lead to an increase in the income of farmers in the state.

The chief minister will meet the Mayor of the Hague Mr. Jozias Van Aartsen in the evening. This meeting is aimed at promoting cycling in then state. It is pertinent to inform here that more than 57 per cent people of Netherlands use bicycle. The delegation will try to understand the taxation and infrastructure mechanism in the country so that it can be replicated by developing cycling tracks in places like Agra, Lucknow, Noida and greater Noida in UP. Such a move will curb pollution and ease pressure on traffic in these cities. Later in the evening, the chief minister is scheduled to meet NRIs.

On September 02, the chief minister will visit the International Court of Justice at The Hague after which the chief minister will meet Mr. Hans de Boer, president of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers. In this meeting, ING bank’s head of client coverage for America, Asia and UK Mr. Jeroen Plag, global head of government affairs business to government (B2G) of Royal Philips Mr. Jan-Willem Scheijgrond, representative of Royal HaskoningDHV, Mr. Elbert Waller, Vice President Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce and Trade (NICCT) and head of high growth marketing and logistics, representatives of KPMG Netherlands.

Netherlands has advance knowhow and expertise in food processing technology, developing various varieties of flowers, their marketing and agri-logistics. The country is also known for minimizing post-harvest losses.

After this, the chief minister will meet the minister of infrastructure and environment Mrs. Melanie Schultz van Haegen. After this, Mr. Akhilesh yadav will visit other places. The chief minister will be accompanied in this visit by minister of state for technical education and skill development Mr. Abhishek Mishra, chief secretary Mr. Alok Ranjan, principal secretary of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Mr. Sanjeev Saran and other officers.
