Chief Minister releases the book ‘Vedant Ke Vibhinna Siddhant’

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has said that the nation will be stengthened by adequate participation of women and working as a team. The Chief Minister was speaking at a function at KD Singh Babu stadium on Friday where APN Shakti Samman-2015 was held and the inauguration of a Women Football Competition was inaugurated. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honoured football player Ms Sona Chowdhary, Taekwando player Ms Addeba Akhtar, Wrestling player Ms Alka Tomar, Basketball player Ms Prashanti Singh, athelete Ms Suman Devi Yadav, Hockey player Ms Razia Zaidi and swimmer Ms Pushpa Mishra, with the APN Shakti Samman-2015.
Mr. Yadav said that the Samajwadi government is trying to take the state forward on the path of development and prosperity, keeping its secular fabric intact but warned against elements who were trying to disrupt communal harmony and said that harmony and brotherhood were necessary for comprehensive development. The Chief Minister also said that football was a popular sport across the world which required a lot of strength, stamina and hard work. He also complimented the women for their contribution in football. He also pointed out that the state government had initiated a lot of schemes to encourage sportspersons and promote sports.
The state government has also announced that the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri players would be given Rs 20,000 per month as pension. The Chief Minister also released a book ‘Vedant ke Vibhinna Siddhant’. He was presented a memento. Also present on the occasion were Political Pensions Minister Mr. Rajendra Chowdhary, Tourism Minister Mr. Om Prakash Singh, Minister of State for Rural Development Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh Gop, Principal Secretary (Information) Mr. Navneet Sehgal, Sports Director Mr. RP Singh, Managing Editor of APN News Mr. Vinay Rai, other officials of the channel, dignitaires and officials of the District Administration and the State Government.
