A joint gift of medical college for Varanasi-Chandauli
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav today dedicated to the people/laid foundation stones of 49 projects worth Rs. 568 crore in Varanasi and Chandauli. He also jointly gifted a medical college to Varanasi-Chandauli and said that adequate funds will be given for the same in the next budget session.
He also directed officials to locate land for the medical college at the earliest. Mr. Yadav also announced making of Mughalsarai as a separate tehsil headquarters. The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting at Varanasi today where he also assured the people that the foundation stone of a medical college in Jaunpur would be laid soon and underlined that the Samajwadi party (SP) government was opening medical colleges in the state was to provide and ensure better health services to the people of the state as well as generate employment.
Mr Yadav also said that the state government had fulfilled most of the promises made in the state assembly polls manifesto and that the poor, unemployed, youth and all other sections of the society are being benefited. The CM also said that maximum schemes for poor, downtrodden and the people sitting on the last point of the society were being benefited.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that the SP government was the first in the state which was spending people’s money on public welfare. Under this, he added, free laptops were being given to students and free medicine and other healthcare facilities were being given free of cost to the people.
